Dr Kapil Bakshi

Dr Kapil Bakshi is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He did his postgraduate psychiatric training in London and East of England. He attained a Masters in Healthcare Leadership from the University of Birmingham and Manchester Business School. He was awarded the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Award for Senior Healthcare Leadership by NHS Leadership Academy. He currently works as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.
Kapil has extensive experience of medical and educational management and has held senior management roles, including Deputy Medical Director, Revalidation lead and College Tutor within the NHS. Outside the NHS, he has worked with the charitable sector and was on the Board of a national charitable organisation delivering care to people with mental illness and substance misuse. He is currently a Trustee of a national charity providing support for mental health, substance misuse and housing.
