RCPsych celebrates excellence in publishing and eLearning

RCPsych Publishing and RCPsych eLearning hosted a joint reception on Monday to celebrate excellence across their programmes.

Publishing prizes were awarded in a series of journal and book categories ranging from most downloaded to Editor’s Choice.

The reception was also an opportunity to celebrate key milestones in the Publishing programme, including the conclusion of Anne Doherty’s 10 years of leadership as Books Editor, as she handed over to new appointee Asha Praseedom, and the 10-year anniversary of BJPsych Open under the editorship of Kenneth Kaufman.

College Editor Gin Malhi concluded by thanking all of RCPsych Publishing’s board members, authors and peer reviewers.

For the first time, the College has also awarded a prize for the most viewed patient information resource, 'Stopping antidepressants', which was awarded to authors Professor David Taylor and Dr Mark Horowitz.

RCPsych eLearning also announced the winners of a series of awards, which you can view by visiting RCPsych eLearning Awards – and also enjoy free access to the winning CPD eLearning and MRCPsych eLearning resources until the end of August.

Again, the reception was an opportunity to celebrate key achievements, notably a Bronze award at the Association Excellence Awards 2024 for the fantastic eLearning Hub.

The Hub continues to develop and expand; soon the team will be launching further Advanced Learning blended courses on Clinical and Educational Supervisor training, as well as the Adult ADHD Foundation Course, and the first Certification course on Public mental health leadership is now in its second year.

RCPsych eLearning also recently rebranded the Trainees Online (TrOn) resource to MRCPsych eLearning, which now includes mapping to the MRCPsych Paper B syllabus, a dedicated area for other useful resources, and very soon will also include a new question bank module to support resident doctors preparing for the Paper A exam.

Howard Ryland, Editor of CPD eLearning and MRCPsych eLearning, concluded with thanks to the eLearning Board and all eLearning contributors for their hard work and engagement, and to all eLearning learners for their continued engagement.

Our congratulations to all the award winners and thanks to everyone who has contributed to RCPsych Publishing and RCPsych eLearning.
