FAQs for transition to new e-portfolio (14fish)

As we plan the move to our new training portfolio we have compiled frequently asked questions to assist you.  For any further queries please contact us.

We will aim to transition everyone's portfolio at the earliest opportunity after the end of year ARCP, with the aim that everyone's portfolio would have moved across in 2027.  Some resident doctors, for example those on career breaks or out of sync, may need to move mid-training year, but we will avoid this as far as possible and communicate with individuals further in due course.
We will aim to transition less than full time (LTFT) Resident Doctors at the end of their next year of training after February 2026.  This will be dependent upon where each Resident Doctor is in their overall programme of training.

We will issue further guidance via e-newsletter and published on our Portfolio webpage for LTFT Resident Doctors and if required contact doctors on an individual basis.

We anticipate all portfolios will be transitioned by the end of 2027.

We are currently investigating options for SAS Doctors and other psychiatrists using the portfolio but who are not currently on a training programme. Once transition of current Resident Doctors is complete there will be no live access to the old portfolio for any current users (anticipated to be 2027).

For those psychiatrists who will not be in core or higher psychiatry training, we recommend that any relevant documents, final ARCP outcomes and Completion of Training (COT) forms are downloaded from Portfolio Online, as there will be no facility to continue to access or add to the old portfolio after it has transitioned to the NEW ePortfolio.

We will issue more guidance via e-newsletter and published on our Portfolio and SAS webpages once confirmed.

Currently, we have no intention to transition doctors’ portfolios who will enter into their last training year in August 2026.  However, if the training period is extended, we may have to reconsider this as all ‘current’ training portfolios need to be migrated by our contractual deadline with the current provider.
